Welcome to The Accessible Stall!

Our names are Kyle and Emily, and we do this here podcast called The Accessible Stall! To learn more about who we are, you can click here.

We’ve been doing this podcast for over two years now, so we definitely know the episode list can be a little overwhelming. If you’re new to our show, you’ve come to the right place. If you just want to get right to the list of our favorite episodes, click here.

Why did you start the show?

Basically, our friends got tired of hearing us argue, so we decided to put those arguments on the internet. Makes perfect sense, right? After that, podcasting became part of our routine. Whenever there’s a hot topic floating around in the disability community, you can bet there will be an episode about it. We pride ourselves on making accessible content about disability, because let’s face it: there’s not much out there. We may not be pioneers in talking about disability, but we think we’re filling a void with our casual conversational takes on complex issues.

Who are you guys?

We’re just two friends who like to get into passionate conversations. That’s really it, we swear. We’re not married, siblings, or anything else. Just two loudmouth friends who don’t know when to be quiet.

Why do you take so many selfies in bathrooms?

You know, it started as a joke to “match” the name of the show, but now we just do it because we get away with it everywhere and it’s funny. True story.

What are your favorite episodes?

Even though we are very proud of every episode we put out, we understand there’s a lot here and you might be wondering where to begin. To help you out, here’s a list of our favorite episodes so far:

Accessibility vs. Inclusion

The Soft Bigotry of Low Expectations

Dating Your Own Kind

Sheltered Workshops vs. Sweatshops

Hierarchies, Silliness, and Glee

We also had the best time being guests on the Think Inclusive Podcast, where we shared our perspectives on inclusive education.

These podcast episodes cover a good range of our beliefs and views, but you can’t go wrong with listening to any episode, if we do say so ourselves!
